In Q3 FY2024, Brent crude prices averaged USD 83.8/bbl, a decline of 3.3% q/q and 5.4% y/y due to high stockpiles in the US and a slowdown in China, raising concerns about sustained demand. In each of the months of Q3 FY2024, Brent crude prices trended lower on a m/m basis. The average Brent crude prices for December 2023 were USD 16/bbl lower than the average in September 2023 and the lowest since July 2023. The Brent crude prices in October, November, and December declined 3/3% m/m, 8.5% m/m, and 6.2% m/m, respectively.
